Points to take note of during sectionals..

I know im sec 4 cant say much la..but during sectional there are no discipline so...
Since there are no post, i may as well use this chance to post something. After posting happy things like having a chalet[section outing], i think its TIME to take note of sectionals already..as we know TIME IS PRECIOUS [for those who dunno or dun care or counting away the days happily might as well go bang the walls]...okay after SYF these old illnesses comes out again..
Seriously n Frankly sectionals ARE MUCH WORST then the last time
An Extract from my post long ago..

-LOOKING everywhere except Yun Han (busy' staring at the key holes in clarinet) "Whats there to stare about? Are there any worms coming out of the key holes? o.0"

-Treat what senior said as GARBAGE, ended up in garbage in, garbage out [go in left ear,come out right ear vice versa]"Woah ,your ear can do so much work ah? why let your ear work so hard that even one word of advice cannot even be swallow into your brain?"=.=

-TALK and TALK and MORE TALKs "Are you all the aunties aka san gu liu po aka busybody atthe market?"

-NEVER PRACTICE at home (eg: no time to practice, must STUDY or not feeling well)"IS there so much work to do that you cant even practice for at least 15mins?"

-Shaking your legs , scratching your ear or head, laugh for no reasons "Look its not like the the heaven is collapsing or what, why you laugh for no reason is either just come out of IMH or got mental problems"

-Lack of CONCENTRATION during sectional "Hello instead of concentrating ,you go and think about boyfriend o.0 or daydreaming about your prince charming , something is wrong man!"

-Busy SMSing "is it the latest news about your favourite artist? or later want to go shop shop?"crazy le la!!

-And many other STUPID THINGS that you cant imagine"What is it ? that i dont know you should know it well yourselves"

-Do you know the meaning of sectional?
-> Sectional is form when the people in the group compile what they have practice at home
together to practice the pieces..so please bring clarinet home everyday to
practice running note!!!

-WORK ON YOUR TONE!!!!!!ALWAYS NOT IN TUNE!!!GOOD SOUND QUALITY!!!
loud doesn't ONLY means loud..MUST HAVE STYLE n SHAPE!!! most importantly
BALANCE!!

-dunno how many times i said to show some RESPECT for others WHO ARE
PLAYING<-as in clarinet, not the chasing around one ar!!

-STRICTLY NO HANDPHONE DURING SECTIONAL
If i see anyone using HP, wait and see what i will do!!* Except for any
impt calls..

-One For All, All For One..NO squating or sitting unless given permission!!

[L]ASTlY, Pls dun dance around during sectional..also dun shake ur butt too!! If want to dance i can arrange a time for you to show everyone ur dancing skills

outing III

OUTING III!
(the real one! not the mothers' day celebration)

Date : 9 & 10 Dec, Sun & Mon
Venue : Costa Sands Resort (downtown east)
Price : $6.40++ per head (TBC because not added in BBQ $$)

Sec4s senior citizens are FOC!

It's time to think

(for people who havent read it in the band web)
Band,

our motto has always been "Passionate Band Spirit" but don't you all feel that there seems to have no more passion in the band. If you guys have been noticing, ever since SYF, the discipline and the attitude of the band have been going down. With the poor discipline and attitude, it is going to pull down our music. So what if we are good in music, without the right attitude, we are nothing.

When was the last time we got a 100% in our attendance? How many times did we get a 100%? Twice, thrice? Only when we have other conductors coming to conduct or when we have an important event like the band convention? We understand that it's hard to get a 100% since there might be some people who are unwell, but for those who give excuses like they are tired, overslept or have to go to work, PLEASE think about the others who make the effort to come.

Take the speech day rehearsal held yesterday for example , only 31 members came.For those who came, we are very pleased. For those who have their personal reasons, it is okay.However, for those who didn't come simply beacuse they are tired,

THINK ABOUT THIS :

You think the members who came aren't? The majors aren't? Everyone is equally tired as you are but we do make the effort so why can't you?
With this little number of people, you think the band can sound good? You guys are just wasting the rest of the band's effort as the band won't be able to play well. Half of the band under the scorching sun while the other 19 doing what? sleeping?
Some say that that since it's the first rehearsal, there is no need to come as we won't play much but if the first rehearsal was not that important, why would be asking you guys to come?

If the band can have 100% on important events, why isin't there 100% on the speech day rehearsal. It is also an important event. The fact is, you guys simply don't care.

The seniors have brought up the band to a higher standard but now it's back to square one. There is only 40 days to ADDICTION 2 and if all of you still have that i-dont-care attitude, don't feel sad about the outcome as that is the effort you guys put in.
When u all say u all want to have a successful concert, don't talk only. Do it.
Action speaks louder than words. Practice hard and give it the best shot.

To have a successful addiction u need everyone's effort.If that one person, just that ONE person plays wrongly, or goes out of tune,the whole band will be affected.REMEMBER, THE BAND IS AS STRONG AS IT'S WEAKEST PLAYER. So do the best you can and practice hard.

Understand this, when it is not necessary, we do not ask you to come for so many practices but now, when ADDICTION 2 is so near. Is it still not necessary?

Currently Mr Lim is in Japan and will not be coming for band for a period of time.Does that mean you guys don't have to work hard? You guys want Mr Lim to feel disappointed when he returns? If no, then you know what to do.

Time is really running out and we have just the 40 days to change everything. We hope everyone will reflect upon themselves and do something about it. Remember, 40 days left. It's less than two months.

All grown up?

Faith said we have grown up, so lets see the difference.

Here we are, 2005 when me this batch is still sec1.
From here, we can see how Faith,Eunice and Hui Xian grow.

We met Mr Lim, we had a god mother. Anyone still remember what happen in details?
I think is Joey suddenly shout that Mr Lim was outside. And surpringsly, before we open the door of the restaurant he noticed us already. And then the following next band prac, he complimented us for having a section outing. Anybody still remember?

HELLO!

Yo people!Sorry for not updating for a long time.Eh...no pictures to update.hmm..let's have section photos after exams!!!btw,have you all been saving money for tutors and ligature?..hahas.Exams are so stressful,must rest well ok..?After exams than we go for section outing..long time never go out together !
